My name is Rex Goode. I have been a member of the AML-List for about 12 years.

How do I describe what I do? My main job is as a mentor to developmentally disabled adults. I teach and mentor things like riding buses, cooking, creative writing, camping, bowling, shopping, and any other thing a client may have difficulty doing. My goal is to help clients become as independent as possible in the community.

I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. This was after a two-decade career as a data processing professional. I still do some of my old work.

I love writing. I have had written a lot that has been successful, though not financially, that has been published on the internet. I'm not currently trying to get published in print, but I wouldn't mind it. I'm not just expecting it to fall in my lap. I just have higher priorities right now.

I plan to return for a Masters degree after a couple of years paying down student loans and building a savings again.

I am the father of five, grandfather of two. I'm probably most famous or infamous on the internet as a man who accepts that he is same-sex attracted but has chosen to live according to the teachings of the Church regarding sexuality. I'm not one of those people who claims to be cured. I just made a choice, one I am happy with.
