Hello!
My name is Neal Kramer. Some of you may remember me from years ago at AML functions.
I am a fairly contented middle-aged (almost 55) man who lives in Provo, Utah.
My wife and I have five daughters and eight granddaughters, who are the part of life we enjoy the most.
Mormon Studies have been an important part of my intellectual life for nearly thirty years.
My association with Mormon Letters comes as a scholar. I write about Mormon literature and culture and have published numerous articles and reviews in a variety of journals. My current interests include examining literary features of the Book of Mormon to see how that kind of knowledge influences interpretation of doctrine.
My other interests are Shakespeare, Milton, and hermeneutics. I teach part-time at BYU.
I have previously served as a member of the AML board and served as president for 2 years right around the turn of the century.
I have come back to the board for a second stint and hope to help the organization to flourish.
I look forward to engaging and uplifting discussion in the days, weeks, and years to come.
