What is the process used to decide who gets what award? I know anyone can inform AML about what was published, but where does the information go from there?

The AML board has judges who come up with a short list and recommendations for each award, and then the board discusses the judges' recommendations and decides which work to give the award to.

We ask people to inform AML about what was published so the judges know what to consider for the short lists and for their recommendations.

I totally forgot to submit my plays Swallow The Sun and Prometheus Unbound, both of which premiered this year I wanted to be in the running. Is it too late to submit?

Upon the stage of a theater can be represented in character, evil and its consequences, good and its happy results and rewards; the weakness and the follies of man, the magnamity of virtue and the greatness of truth. The stage can be made to aid the pulpit in impressing upon the minds of a community an enlightened sense of a virtuous life, also a proper horror of the enormity of sin and a just dread of its consequences. The path of sin with its thorns and pitfalls, its gins and snares can be revealed, and how to shun it (Discourses of Brigham Young, p.243; Bookcraft, 199cool

Send an email to aml at mormonletters.org with AML award recommendation in the subject line, and it will be passed on to the AML board and to the judges.

Thanks for asking, Eric.
