She was the publisher and editor of the monthly newsletter of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Workshop for the final 266 of its 300 issues.
She is the wife of a chemical engineer, the mother of three girls and one cat, and the grandmother of a boy and a girl. She earned a B.A. degree in mathematics and an M.E. degree in mechanical engineering, both from the University of Utah. She taught a short story writing course for her local high community school for many years and has done first reading for a few fiction magazines. She has a part-time computer business where she helps people with those scary machines, especially with putting their genealogy on computer. She collects dragons, unusual names, and information about her ancestors.

Kathleen Dalton-Woodbury joined the AML board at the beginning of Cherry Silver's presidency in 2001. She became acting president four years later, and has also worked as AML webmaster, mail clerk, membership secretary, substitute AML list moderator, and acting treasurer.
