Greetings Everyone,

Ranse Parker here, author of the now 2-time national award winning mystery adventure novel, CIRCLE OF DOORS. In 2008 the work received the national Silver IPPY in Visionary Fiction, and the Nautilus in May of 2009. Previous recipients of the Nautilus include Joel Osteen, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Rhonda Byrne (The Secret) and Mariel Hemingway. The Writer’s Edge has recommended the work, and an Oscar winning filmmaker declared his studio’s film adaptation evaluation of the story as the ‘best he has seen.’ A screenplay is in process.

DOORS was published in late 2007 under my own imprint after being rejected by the usual herd of agents. In early 2008 I began signing at various Utah and Idaho Barnes & Noble and Costco locations. A sincere “Thank you” goes out to all the appropriate B&N and Costco staff for their support and generosity, and to those of you who have purchased the book.

A few months after a bizarre personal experience in 2002, I watched a movie in a profound dream lasting two-consecutive nights. The dream was so compelling that I gave up my entrepreneurial business career to dedicate everything to writing the story from the movie in that dream. My oldest of four children was only 14 years of age at the time. My wife, Gayle, understanding the significance of events, volunteered to go back to work to support our family in my new ambition. She had been a stay-at-home mom for the previous 11 years. The manuscript was written in secret and took 4 years to complete. At year 5 it was published after we leveraged our remaining assets. Gayle is still working.

In addition to having formed and operated several companies as President and CEO, I have also been a Broadcast Engineer, soccer coach (most important job of all), contributing writer and editorial board member for a national trade magazine, interviewed on radio and television, written up in various papers, a featured speaker at a writer’s conference and other functions, have signed books alongside Richard Paul Evans, met a few celebrities, and suspect that we have barely scratched the surface of what is to come.

CIRCLE OF DOORS has been said to rival the works of a few of the most notable writers of our time. It has also now been rejected by over a hundred agents – if you don’t count the hundred plus that never responded.

"Many times our greatest accomplishments are met with the greatest challenges, but nothing of real and lasting value is ever easily achieved." Here is to passion, faith, and perseverance. Every great journey begins with a dream. Best wishes to all.
